The old ladies Paradiso, Weteringschans 6-8, and Melkweg, Lijnbaansgracht 234 (website: http://www.melkweg.nl/) Have been around forever and are still good places to party. They are not in the list of contemporary nightclubs, but they are a good choice for a simple and fun weekend night. Escape, Rembrandtplein 11 is a giant facility with a capacity for 2,000 revelers. Your session "Chemistry" on Saturday Dutch is an institution that attracts major DJs around the world, but the queues for entry can become hellish. A more intimate local Sinners in Heaven, Wagenstraat 3-7, with a modern audience than the rest of the big and famous clubs in the city. The new Panama Oostelijke Handelskade 4, also has an older clientele and is located in the booming industrial district Zeeburg. Some clubs are newly opened Odeon (See Restaurants) Singel 460; Rain, Rembrandtplein 44, a giant complex located in the heart of Rembrandt, which is a hybrid of bar, restaurant and nightclub, which created a furore in the city and worth visiting even if you have to deal with gatekeepers.

Bars

De Waag, Nieumarkt, is a modern bar in the red light district, which also hosts cultural performances and exhibitions. Whisky lovers should go to De Stil, Spuistraat 326 which offers 100 single malts to be enjoyed sitting and old whiskey barrels that make the function table. The friendly owners guide for the layman in his first steps towards the discovery of whiskey without the help of cola or water. Beer lovers should visit Wildman, Nieuwezijds Kolk 3, which has a selection of over 200 bottled beers from all over Europe. Satellite Sports Café, Leidseplein 11, is a tacky and tourist site, but it is a good place if you miss the football or rugby. Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal is one of the hottest areas in town to go to bars or nightclubs. Seymour Lounge, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 200, is a unique place with a strange fish tank behind the bar, full of bricks, where the hot DJ to the masses before they go to the clubs. Next to the street, in Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 169, is the modern NL Lounge cutting-edge sounds, a fine public and some porters nightmare: Dress to impress.
